Sector 10 - Changes and Updates

In-page navigation elements can significantly improve usability on longer pages. The optional Sector Table of Contents feature provides a simple ToC automated from headings in the main body content.  

The Sector Workflow configuration—part of the Starter Kit in Sector 10—is built on the Drupal core Workflow and Content Moderation modules.

Pasting text content from Google Docs or Word often adds unwanted mark-up to the WYSIWYG text field, and editors might not even be aware of it.

Sector 10 will ship with Gin - a radically new AdminUI experience by Sascha Eggenberger (one of the lead designers of Claro & Drupal Design System).

Sector 10's Page content type provides an easy starting point for hierarchical content in menus including display and content settings to get you started.

The Page content type is used for pages that are in your menu structure - you can easily move these pages around the menu (even changing their level) and there are plenty of display settings for you to customise how they look.

The Sector workflow – new in Sector 10 – assumes a simple publication strategy: a content editor creates and edits a draft before submitting it for review.

Sector promo magnets offer a flexible block type to create and place ad-style lead magnets throughout your site. Promotions can link to both internal and external content.

The introduction of CKEditor 5 will bring major changes for Sector 10 and sites updated from Sector 9 to 10! CK5 is a complete re-write and some of the CK4 features are moving into a paid premium version.

Much has changed since we last reviewed our Sector Media configuration and with Sector 10 we are introducing new media types and approaches. 

The Sector Security module enables a set of recommended security modules and provides additional security features for Sector sites.

Sector Notice offers a flexible block type to create and place public notices in your theme. New in Sector 10, Sector Notice includes everything you'll need to get started, including sample content.   

Sector Mega Menu provides a visually organised and efficient view of your menu structure, allowing users to quickly grasp the hierarchical structure of your site and access content in deeper levels.

The Sector 10 Display Options allows us to mix and match layout options with minimal technical debt.
