Drupal allows sitebuilders to create structured content types for a wide variety of use cases - without code. The Sector Starter Kit includes four base content types, with additional content types available as Sector add-ons.

Next to the Drupal default menus, Sector ships with additional preconfigured menus and menu blocks to make it as easy as possible to get started.

WYSIWYG templates allow content editors to add advanced design elements to their pages without the need to code -  just select a template from the drop-down and insert it into the WYSIWYG field. 

The media file manager adds advanced file and media management to your site. But what does that mean for the way you manage files, images, and rich media on your site? 

The Sector Starter Kit includes the Drupal Password Policy module - it allows sitebuilders to configure granular password policies. 

Sector Page is based on the Drupal default Page content type. Sector Page provides an easy starting point for hierarchical content in menus and includes three sample layouts and additional sample content settings to get you started.  

Sector News is based on the Drupal default Article content type.

Even though HTML metadata is not displayed on your site, it is used by search engines, social media platforms, and other web services. For the Sector Starter Kit we have preconfigured a few basic settings to get you started. 

Sector Index A-Z offers a simple and easy way to list content in an A-Z index. You can start from the included Index content type or re-use the included Index A-Z views to list any existing content alphabetically by title or by topic. 

Sector Contact offers a simple and easy way to add a person or team profile to your site. Included is everything you'll need to add a staff or team directory - a Contact content type, categories, and a Contact landing page via a Drupal view.

In Sector, we use taxonomies as filter criteria, to add metadata, and to label content - as well as for some magic behind the scenes. This guide introduces the concepts of taxonomies and explains what each of the taxonomies do. 

Drupal’s taxonomy management allows you to sort, organise, and label your content. The terms in a taxonomy can be used, for example, as filters for your resource library.

Each element in the Sector Ecosystem follows the same principle - once installed, your editorial team is ready to go. To make this happen, each Sector add-on comes with a set of tools. Some are as you would expect, while some go further.
